2014 Michigan Gameday #6: at Rutgers

So, last week happened, and that wasn't great, just like the weekend before it.  Michigan's 2-3 and it could be a long year as the program tries to deal with an overmatched head coach on the hot seat and one of the most tone-deaf ADs in the country.  All the same, the games still count for something, be it pride, experience, perseverance, or all of the above.

With all that going on, Michigan travels to Rutgers in what is the Scarlet Knights' debut season in the conference.  The pride of Piscataway, New Jersey, claims a 4-1 record thus far, with their lone blemish being a 13-10 defeat at the hands of Penn State.  That was the only game this year in which Rutgers scored fewer than 31 points, and as they'll be facing a reeling Wolverines squad, it's easy to see why they'll be the favorites tonight.

Michigan, meanwhile, gets a chance to get out of town, away from the angry mob of critics, and could shut some of them up with a win tonight, something that could provide some momentum as they set their sights on bowl eligibility.  It's been a few weeks now, and a win would be really, REALLY nice.
LET'S GO BLUE!
