2016 Michigan gameday #12: at Ohio State

It's been 10 years since the stakes were this high for both teams as #3 Michigan heads to Columbus to face #2 Ohio State in a matchup of 10-1 teams hoping to head to the Big Ten Championship game and College Football Playoff.

Michigan's path is clear:  win and you're in; the Buckeyes, thanks to their loss to Penn State, need a victory plus a Nittany Lions upset loss to *snort* Michigan State.

It's been far too long since the Wolverines were in control of this rivalry:  Michigan hasn't won since 2011 and hasn't won consecutive games since 1999-2000, with the latter representing the Wolverines' most recent victory in Columbus.

Jim Harbaugh's squad is staring down a hostile crowd, a touchdown spread, and questions on both sides of the ball--especially the health of QB Wilton Speight--in this monumental edition of The Game.  It's time to see if Harbaugh's team is ready to get over the OSU hump and on to glory.

Beat Ohio.
Do it for Bo.

2014 Michigan Gameday #12: at Ohio State

It's the final week of the regular season for Michigan and that always means one thing:  The Game.  5-6 Michigan travels to Columbus for what will likely be a beating that prevents the Wolverines from going into a bowl game, plus provide a fitting end for Brady Hoke as head coach.

If nothing else I can be a typical Michigan fan that lives in the past!  The Wolverines lead the overall series 58-45-6, though they've won just once in the last 10 years.  A repeat of last year's near-win is extremely unlikely, but that's ok as right now Michigan fans have just one item on their Christmas lists:  a sure-thing head coach.

Still, I'll be watching as always, so
LET'S GO BLUE!

Michigan gameday 2013 #12: vs. Ohio State

A 7-4 Wolverines squad faces a heavily-favored Buckeyes team at 12 pm EST today in Ann Arbor.  Michigan has seen a once-promising season go down the drain with some crushing losses, and this afternoon looks to salvage something with a very unlikely underdog win over its most hated rival.  Can Michigan mar OSU's undefeated season?  Will the Wolverines make up for a season's worth of offensive ineptitude just in time?  Is there enough Kleenex in the world for Urban Meyer if his team remains undefeated but doesn't make it to the BCS championship?  It's time to pull out all the stops and get this rivalry going in the right direction again.  BEAT OHIO!
