2016 trade package #5: GSNHoF doesn't Stimp--er--skimp on great cards!

The Great Sports Name Hall of Fame

Fellow occasional collector of obscure guys Tim from the Great Sports Name Hall of Fame sent me a fun little envelope a couple weeks ago, and here's what was contained therein:
What, you think he shouldn't have thrown in this Ren & Stimpy card?  YOU EEDIOT!

I'm not gonna scan a card of a former Ohio State football player and I sure as hell won't be posting it, but I will show you what it looked like getting shredded in my garbage disposer:
(Bye, Felicia)

Now, onto the actual sports cards!:
Here's a three-spot of Mo Taylor, one of the "Ed Martin" Wolverines that caused the school to vacate a bunch of games.  He put up some nice numbers while in Ann Arbor, though, and the Clips took him 14th overall in '97.  I was a bit surprised to see that the basketball version of HoloGrFX wasn't nearly as obnoxious as the baseball edition.  The Fleer insert is goofy fun and is a good example of that brand's inserts from the era.

That wasn't it for basketball this time:
2000-01 Fleer Glossy 2003 1-of-1 (1/1)
I'm a bit on the fence when it comes to some of these stamped 1/1s because some of them look like they were just stamped by some dude in his garage.  But oddball stuff comes from all over, and there's just as good of a chance that this is legit.  Let's go to Señor Chang for the ruling:
A new 1/1 it is, then!  That's my 49th, so it's almost time for me to brag about another milestone.  As for Rice, one of my favorite Wolverine cagers since he brought home our only championship, it's my fourth hit and first 1/1.

One more card, and this time we head over to the gridiron:
Mario Manningham 2008 Select Autographs Gold Zone auto (#35/40)
Super Mario "New Math" Manningham!  And on a fairly limited auto card, no less.  When I saw this I had a brief flash of a memory that Tim might have picked this up for me on COMC a while ago and then had it shipped to himself instead of trading it to me on the site as we often do.  In any case, it's a very nice gold signature of this here blog's namesake, and my 58th(!) hit of the former WR.  When will I have too many?  NEVER!

Tim, thanks as always for some great cards, and I look forward to seeing your post covering the ones I just sent you!

    1. I'm always happy to bring enjoyment to the masses. How would you destroy cards of a team you hate?
