COMC haul #32: three for the money

(Note:  all COMC haul posts can be accessed here)

I didn't end up posting yesterday, so here's two posts' worth of COMC pickups!

Jason Christian 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Aspirations (#147/200)
Jason Christian 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition auto (#578/730)
Jason Christian 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Signature Aspirations auto (#067/100)
Jason Christian 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Signature Turn of the Century auto (#096/111)
Jason Christian 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Status Gold (#09/50)
Jason Christian 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Status (#049/100)
Christian is a former Michigan 3B I didn't even realize had any cards until I accidentally figured it out when I wrote this post.  Always happy to learn about other players, I decided to pursue his fairly small PC, and back in December I showed off the first half of my JC pickups.  Those hailed from the 2010 Bowman products while the rest are ones I like even more as they depict him in a Michigan Baseball jersey.  These six 2009 Donruss EEE issues represent all but two of Christian's non-1/1s in that set.  2009 EEE, as usual, had a pretty cool design, and while it can't hold a candle to my favorite--the 2010 version--I think these look fantastic.  Obviously the blue versions are my favorite, but the others are great as well.  Better yet, I'm now up to 14 of Jason's 19 non-1/1s, putting me close to finishing his PC pending seeking out some of his tougher cards.  Check out the list and see if you can help!  Also, with the addition of the autographs, Christian becomes the 17th member of my Michigan Baseball collection.

Chris Getz 2009 Topps Update Gold Border (#1960/2009)
Chris Getz 2011 Topps 60 Autographs auto
Just two Getz cards today because I had already shown off the rest of his stuff previously, then picked up these two in the latter COMC packages.  The Gold is my second such insert of him, and the kind with the real serial number stamp, which I've always preferred.  The autograph, which I'd been after a while, is my seventh hit of Getz, with all of them being a signature card of some sort.  So I now have exactly 25% of his 80-card PC!

Matt Miller 2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Signature Aspirations (#054/100)
Matt Miller 2011 Topps Heritage Minors Blue Tint (#249/620)
Matt Miller 2011 Topps Heritage Minors
Matt Miller 2011 Topps Pro Debut Blue (#007/309)
Matt Miller 2011 Topps Pro Debut Gold (#35/50)
Matt Miller 2011 Topps Pro Debut
We close out today's post with six new pickups of Brewers pitching prospect Matt Miller.  To begin with, the autograph is my favorite of his in my PC of him, because, blue, obviously.  I'm now just one card short of his EEE print run:  his Signature Status Gold auto #d /5.  The Heritage Minors and Pro Debut cards were all new to me, and while I don't think Topps needed to do two separate Minor League sets, I do like how each came out.  The trio of Pro Debut cards represent his entire run in that set while I'm missing just one parallel in the Heritage set:  a Black Border parallel #d /62.  I've seen one available on eBay so far but the seller was such a complete idiot I ended up passing.  No matter, I still have 15 of Miller's 17 cards known to me, meaning he's my best bet at finishing a player collection this year!  If you or someone you know has either or both of my wants for him, though, please don't be shy about letting me know as I can make it worth your while.  Completing projects is fun!

I may be busy tomorrow and can't promise another post yet, but whenever I get to it, you'll either get another COMC football post, or hopefully one of my several recent eBay pickups, all of which promise to make for fun posts.  GO BLUE!
