2015 Michigan gameday #8: at Minnesota

Despite a fluky setback against Michigan State two weeks ago, the Wolverines have continued to defy expectations in coach Jim Harbaugh's first season.  Tonight (arrgh night games) #15 Michigan heads to Minnesota for a 7pm matchup with the Gophers.  Sadly, excellent coach and consensus good guy Jerry Kill had to permanently step down from his role as Minnesota's leader due to ongoing health issues including seizures.  It's an unfortunate loss for the Big Ten as he brought the team back to respectability while keeping the program clean, and it's surely a huge negative for Minnesota as they look to fill his large shoes.
The Wolverines won't be feeling sentimental tonight, though, as they look to put the conference on notice that they're MAD about their first Big Ten loss.  A win against a decent team on the road would not only score another point in Harbaugh's favor--it would also return the Maize and Blue to bowl eligibility.  And maybe even important than that for many, it would also spell the return of the Little Brown Jug, college football's best trophy, to Ann Arbor after last year's embarrassment.  So basically a win tonight would accomplish a lot.

LET'S GO BLUE!
