2013 COMC pickups #22: July buys bring August PC guys

Welcome to my final COMC pickup post for the package I scored in July.  All 10 of today's cards come from the sport that was America's original national pastime, so enjoy two hands worth of PC Wolverines!

Jason Christian 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Signature Status auto (#14/50)
You can put whatever border you want around it, but that maize and blue uni always looks awesome.  This is my fourth auto of Christian, all of which hail from the EEE set, and I'm actually only missing his Signature Status Gold auto (#d /5) to complete that run.  Better yet, I'm actually just four cards shy of his entire 19-card PC, adding in a trio of 2010 Bowman Chrome Refractors.  That makes me wonder if he'll be the first guy whose PC I complete, maybe even this year!  The EEE card is actually available on COMC, though the price isn't the greatest, but you never know.

Chris Getz 2012 Topps Gold (#0375/2012)
Any new Getz is a good get of a Getz, but it's always fun adding a numbered Topps Gold parallel.  This one gives me a total of seven of his 2012 flagship versions, which isn't bad.  It also puts me at a new IHAS total of 47/80 for his PC, with more coming via SportLots, which you'll get to see shortly.  The fact that he hasn't appeared in any 2013 sets makes collecting him a bit easier, though I'd happily add to my workload to see him get a bit of hobby love this year.

Rich Hill 2002 Upper Deck Prospect Premieres Future Gems Quads (with Grant, Gomes, DiMaggio) (#020/600)
Rich Hill 2007 Ultra Retail

The Ultra Retail card is certainly nothing to write home about, just an unnecessary variation barely different from the hobby version I have, with less rainbow foil goodness (which, incidentally, is the only way to differentiate it!).  The Prospect Premieres card, on the other hand, is very cool.  I blew up the scan to emphasize its dimensions relative to a normal base card since it's four times as large.  I literally hadn't seen any copies of these, so I had no idea what they even looked like until this one popped up on COMC.  According to BaseballCardPedia, those came one per box and there were 33 total.  I still have two more to track down, so if you see them, please let me know!  By the way, Hill's new IHAS count after these is 195 (with 11 1/1s to boot), putting me VERY close to celebration time.

Clayton Richard 2010 Topps Copper (#138/399)
Clayton Richard 2011 Topps Chrome Sepia Refractor (#49/99)
Clayton Richard 2011 Topps Diamond Anniversary
Clayton Richard 2012 Topps Mini
Clayton Richard 2013 Topps Gypsy Queen
Clayton Richard 2013 Topps Gypsy Queen Mini
Yep, it was an even half-dozen of Richard this time, so I cleaned up pretty well when it came to his collection.  The Copper is a nice Topps parallel and puts me three short of his run for that brand's 2010 set.  I'm also a fan of the Chrome Sepia Refractor, which is a great insert, and that leaves me just a Gold and Red Refractor shy of what will be a very cool rainbow.  Thanks to the Diamond Anniversary, I just need two more of Clayton's 2011 flagship cards.  The Mini comes to me a while after picking up his Gold parallel from the same set, meaning I "just" need the Silver version #d /5.  Finally, the pair of GQs are my third and fourth 2013 Clayton Richard pickups after a pair from Heritage;  Minis and the ultra-rare Currency Coins insert will hopefully follow.  Make it 76/127 IHAS cards for Richard, putting me at almost 60% of his PC!

Well, that's it for my most recent COMC run, but I may be getting another shipped very soon.  I also have more great eBay pickups from this month, and I still haven't even gotten to the great haul from SportLots!  So stay tuned as I have PLENTY more content left for you loyal readers.
