Celebrating a football win with Miller time!

Michigan Football came back off a bye and trounced Purdue yesterday, making a certain worrisome fanbase feel just a bit better about the season so far.  So it's time to celebrate with Miller time!  (Not that Miller time)

In my likely never-ending quest for supercollecting perfection, I made a bunch of eBay purchases for a few of my player PCs over the last couple weeks, and one of the players for whom I was the most productive was Brewers pitching prospect Matt Miller.  As you can see from the checklist, Miller doesn't have very many non-1/1 cards, and they currently hail from just three sets:  2010 Donruss EEE, 2011 Topps Heritage Minors and 2011 Topps Pro Debut.  Between COMC (a few cards on their way, including one 2010 EEE) and eBay, I made enormous headway towards his 2010 EEE issues, coming up a #d /5 and 1/1 auto short of the entire rainbow (for now).

Here are the five cards I picked up from four different eBay sellers recently.  I hope you like serial numbers and lots of color!
Matt Miller 2010 Donruss EEE Aspirations (#054/200)
Matt Miller 2010 Donruss EEE Signature Status auto (#01/50)
Matt Miller 2010 Donruss EEE Status Emerald (#22/25)
Matt Miller 2010 Donruss EEE Status Gold (#05/10)
Matt Miller 2010 Donruss EEE Status (#002/100)

Although the group did include one autograph, I'm most excited about the Status Gold insert as it's #d /10 and therefore the lowest-numbered Miller in my collection right now.  All told, this haul puts me in possession of nine of Miller's 17 non-1/1s by my count, with more on the way soon!

  2. Very nice rainbow. The border looks best with the Maize and Blue jersey but they are all pretty cool.

    1. Thanks! Oh yeah, no question the Blue looks the best, by a mile. I should have a few more Millers to add from my COMC package before long, including another EEE card, so keep an eye out for that.
